Abstract
This paper seeks to analyze the possible dialogue between the Max Horkheimer's critical theory and the reflexive sociology of Pierre Bourdieu, to find there the theorical material with which to construct a critical perspective of our present. The investigation in the "history" of social theory will be the way to achieve the "systematic" goal of this work. Although, it's possible to find important differences between the perspectives of this authors, they are based on certain common ground. This will allow to show their similarities but, above all, their points of conflict. And this is the main objective of the present research: from the closeness of this two critical perspectives, to put each one of them in tension through the others? categories, and vice versa. Therefore, this paper focus on the notion of critic that each one builds. Or, more specifically, on the "methodic-conceptual fundaments" where its points of view are based: investigating the potentials that they generate as well as the limitations that are involved. Such limitations, as mentioned here, can be overcame by entwining both perspectives. In others words: by a reflexive critical theory
