Education, Pluralism and Democracy? Reflection into fragments

Abstract
This paper reviews the concepts of pluralism, democracy and education. The relation of the first two with the third is divergent and could eventually be considered as exclusive. The historical presence of this tension in Western thinking is shown, as well as the fruitfulness of the contributions of Durkheim, Berlin, Bernstein and Bourdieu
