Labor ambivalences of young workers. Analysis of employees' experiences insupermarkets (2001-2013)

Abstract

In the last decade many change smodified the world of labor. This changes transformed employment as well as characteristics of trade unions. In this context, the present article think about the ambivalences of young workers who made their first experiences in the labor market after 2001 crisis, who currently are working in a multinational supermarket. The articles suggests that contradictions of post-convertibility model are polarized in these workplaces, and become ambivalent the relationship between young people and labor. Essentially, even if this currently job is their first “steady job”, they consider it as a “temporary job”
