The focus set on the territory implies that it will be the magnifying glass through which an attempt will be made to have a first rapprochement to the phenomenom, examining the broader and more complex dynamics of power. It begins with an inicial reflexion about how to understand and analysis the territory, overwhelmed by multiple logics and power mechanisms. The process of the debates about the methods of international insertion, as well as for the stages of regionalism in Latin America contribute to the new conditions that are produced in the region when it comes to analysing the emergence of new power blocks. Its study will allow us to look into the challenges that its conformation lays out; as well as at the tensions and conflicts of interest involved in the different integration purposes that coexist in Unasur
