Lo extraordinario y lo normal en las teorí­as sociológicas: Consideraciones sobre la relación entre sociologí­a y guerra

Abstract

This article tries to open a debate about the limits of an important portion of the social theory to approach a social fact to which humanity have devoted its biggest effort: the wat Although war is a widely extended activity and has a huge impact on society, the academic Sociology has not been involved in its systematic study. This reiterated social practice -that is to say a normal practice-is considered only as a sporadic subject of research, because what is considered as been normal is the pacific and harmonic coexistence, even though the empiric evidence marks the opposite tendency. This ideological inversionis approached in the article, revisiting the 'infrastructure of previous assumptions' in the social theories influenced by the liberal thinking
